Paintings

Paintings entered should be recent work that has not previously been shown in London.

A maximum of six works may be submitted. A maximum of four works will be selected for exhibition.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours define a watercolour painting as:

A painting made using water soluble media, on a paper based support.

We are interested in the development of painting using all water soluble mediums. Any work that does not conform to the preceeding definition will only be accepted for hanging in the annual exhibition in special circumstances and then only by a majority vote of the selection committee.

Framing

All pictures should be well presented and framed under glass with the image isolated from the frame by a mount. Frames and mounts of an unusual colour, size or design may prejudice the chance of hanging.

The Mall Galleries give full information about their framing requirements in the Registration Pack available from: The Mall Galleries, 17 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5BD.

Submission Fees

£10 for each painting.

Prices

All works should be for sale. Prices should include gallery commission (including tax) and VAT if the artist is VAT registered. The price entered on the Entry Form is the catalogue selling price. The minimum price for any painting should be £300.

Commission

The Mall Galleries' commission is 45% (Plus VAT).
