R.I. Awards for Artists

These are the awards presented every year for outstanding work submitted to the RI annual exhibition.

The Turner Watercolour Award

A new award of £2,500 plus medal given equally to both the RI and The Royal Watercolour Society.

The Winsor & Newton/RI Award

Winsor & Newton, a leading manufacturer of artists' materials and world famed for their artists' watercolours, present an award of £750 for the group of paintings by a member which is judged to be the most outstanding contribution to the exhibition.

Young Artists Award

A prize of Winsor & Newton Fine art materials to the value of £250 for an artist aged under 30.

Stoke Roberts Bursary Award

Sponsored by the The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers. Offered annually to encourage the study and development of watercolour techniques. £1000 for artists under the age of 30.

The Anthony J Lester Art Critic Award

Presented by Anthony J Lester, an award for the best quality and most interesting work in the show.

The Debra Manifold Memorial Award

Presented by the Linda Blackstone Gallery, an award for an outstanding watercolour.

The Roland Hilder Award

Presented by the Lincoln Joyce Gallery. An award of £250 for an outstanding traditional watercolour.

The Donald Blake Award

Presented by the Lincoln Joyce Gallery. An award of £250 for an outstanding innovative watercolour.

St Cuthbert's Paper Mill

£100 watercolour paper award for an outstanding watercolour.

The Matt Bruce RI Memorial Prize

An award of £500 for what is considered the most outstanding use of light and colour in a watercolour.

The Arts Club Award

Free membership of the Arts Club for one year.

The Ranelagh Press Award

An award of 1000 colour postcards for an outstanding traditional watercolour.
